Cape Coral Festival of the Arts

This event kicks off the year in Cape Coral, as it takes place in January annually. It’s actually one of the biggest art shows in Florida, and one of the best art shows in the United States! Lined along the streets of downtown, you’ll find hundreds of booths selling unique art, spanning everything from paintings to finely crafted jewelry. Pick up a new metal workpiece to display in your yard back home, or a sculpture, professional photo, or piece of pottery to remember your time in Cape Coral. With so much to look at, kids have been fond of the event in the past, and there are also activities and food vendors to keep you entertained and busy!

Taste of the Cape Food Festival

As we mentioned, we have a high number of delicious local restaurants, and this event is your chance to try them all! Taking place in the spring, the festival is held at our city’s Four Freedoms Park, which has a great view of the water and plenty of green space to enjoy. Dozens of local eateries will be selling their delicacies, and there’s live music and activities for families to enjoy as well. You can even come by boat and listen to the concert from out on the water!

Red White and Boom

As the name might give it away, this is Cape Coral’s annual 4th of July celebration, and no expense is spared! Always a family-friendly event, it’s the number one place to see fireworks in Cape Coral, and the Cape Coral Bridge gets closed off so people can get a better view. It’s not just fireworks though, as you’ll also find all the usual festival amenities, such as crafts for the kids, fun giveaways, and family activities—all topped off with the big firework show. There are VIP tickets for sale if you want to reserve a spot with the best view, but the festival and parking are free, making this a perfect family event that won’t break the bank! Be sure to stop by the apple pie baking contest, or if your little one wants to get in on the fun, there’s a banana split eating contest just for kids!

Cape Coral Oktoberfest

The ideal way to welcome the breezy days of autumn, this festival is southwest Florida’s biggest Oktoberfest. You can expect to find an array of German food, as well as a selection of cold brews for the adults in your family. Explore the festival to the sounds of live music, and visit the kid’s section, which includes arts and crafts, games, and rides for the kids. As a bonus, if you’re visiting during the fall, you can also visit the local pumpkin patch in town!
